Who’s writing this anyway?

That would be me, theefer or, alternatively, Sébastien Cevey.

insomnia bytes is a by-product of my inability to live like normal people and sleep at night. This is where I write about code I churn out for XMMS2 or various personal projects, ideas I capture about concepts for organizing information, thoughts on development and things I find on the intertubes. Amazing things happen once the sun is down.

My main interests in computers revolves around improving how people interact with information — text, music, images, news, etc — by providing them with better tools to view, manipulate, organize and share it. Call it “human-information interaction”, call it “information architecture”, or just read my blog.

The aforementioned “normal people” (i.e. those who are not programmers, who don’t scratch their head about improving human life with technology, who have never heard of, let alone been on IRC and who don’t know what “i.e.” stands for) are suggested to stop worrying and travel to inso.cc, my other blog where I ramble about Japan, food, society, literature, writing science-fiction and stuff.

If you have any question, comment or suggestion, drop me an email at seb@cine7.net. I can also be reached by IM on the Jabber network (theefer/gmail) or on IRC on #xmms2 (freenode).
